• Singing Performances: Ducktown CDC will be inviting two guest singers, Joyanta Sinha, and Asif Anwar, to perform classic bengali hits as well as traditional folk music relevant to Bengali culture and diaspora.

• Dance Performances: Come witness captivating dance performances by our talented local high school students and members of the Stockton Bengali Student Association, showcasing both traditional and contemporary Bengali dance styles.

​

• Henna Designs: Partake in the festive spirit of the Pohela Boishakh by decorating your hands with beautiful henna done by local henna artist, Sadia Leera, starting at $5.

​

• Photo Backdrops: Capture festive memories with our hand-constructed designed photo backdrops, providing the perfect setting to commemorate your Pohela Boishakh experience with friends and family.

• Alpona Rangoli Making: Participate in creating Alpona Rangolis on paan leaves, a traditional Bengali art form that typically involves colorful images on the ground. Alponas symbolize good fortune and portray the cultural tapestry of the Bengali identities. Leaves and paint will be provided to contribute to the Rangoli wall.

• Balish Kela (Musical Pillow Toss): Enjoy a game of Balish Kela, a fun traditional Bengali game where participants will be competing to be the last one standing. Remaining placing winners will receive prizes.

• Animal Mask Making: Unleash your creative spirit by crafting your own Bengal tiger mask in the Boishakhi art style to help you summon strength and pride for the upcoming Bengali New Year.

• Sari Market: Find the perfect sari to complete your Pohela Boishakh look! Browse through our vendor stalls and choose from a curated selection of exquisite saris.

​

• Food: Immerse yourself in Bengali culture by trying traditional Bengali cuisine, such as gorur mangshu and bortha. Catering provided Maharajah Restaurant in EHT, NJ.
